“ISLANDS” - karro moss, AUGUST 2021

Tell to me

my darling

the shape of dawn to come—

for you I’ve been waiting

to welcome in the sun

here at the edges

of all we’ve ever known/ [of this great unknown]

these embers I’ve been tending

tonight will keep us warm

Bring to me

remembering

echos of a fallen tree

every lover lost at sea

returning

through our grieving

Castaway

give to the waves

promises never made

dreams forgotten young

every heartsong still unsung

there can be no ending

of what has just begun

So rise up

tides are all turning

ocean is rising

carry us home

our eyes up

horizons converging

current transforming

the sharpest of stones

sands beneath

our feet release

all vessels

are set free

Show to me

a guiding star

whispering of who we are—

how could we have come so far

not to dance

upon the shore?

When our shadows

cloud the sky

seeds awake in wildfire

when we go adrift

spirit’s name

will call the wind

Come with me

my darling

paint colors to the dawn

all doubt and fear

transcending

light in every song

plant with me

a garden

in ashes of this world

arising take root

islands renew

eternal life

grow pure

from Source
